Jackie C. Musick Obituary

Jackie C. Musick - MAX MEADOWS, Va.

It is with great sorrow that we post the obituary of one of our fellow classmates, Jackie C. Musick of Max Meadows, Virginia.

Jackie C. Musick, 64, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Wake Forrest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C. Born on Nov. 20, 1947, in Russell County, Va., he was the son of the late Burchard T. and Margie Skeens Musick. 

Jack was of the Christian faith. An avid outdoors-man, he enjoyed working around the farm with his sons. He was retired from Volvo North American Truck Plant in Dublin, Va. and had served three years in the U.S. Army. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle and Margaret Musick. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; Linda Musick, the mother of his children; four sons, Thomas Musick and wife, Kelli, Joseph Musick and wife, Shannon, Gary Musick and Andrew Musick, all of Max Meadows; seven brothers, Elmer T. Musick, Allen Musick and Emit Musick, all of Cleveland, Va., Bill Musick and wife, Phyllis, of Craigsville, Va., Douglas Musick and wife, Janice, of Kingsport, Tenn., Ed Musick and wife, Teresa, of Lebanon, Va. and Gordon Musick and wife, Nancy, of Richmond, Va., four sisters, Annette Musick of Cleveland, Edith Isenberg and husband, John, of Kingsport, Tenn., Sue Hite and husband, Jerry, of Knoxville, Tenn, and Mary Smith and husband, Ralph, Bristol, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Carlie, Mathew, Riley, Christopher and Katie. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 

Pallbearers will be Wayne Hall, Shannon Ball, Rodney Mabe, Noah Smith, Zachary Smith, Eddie King. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, with the Rev. Duane Musick officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon. 

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
